Microwave motion sensor

The microwave motion sensor is a device designed for detection of motion of persons or measurement of speed and count of vehicles. In connection with the evaluation unit, communication module and feeding elements, the sensor represents a compact facility for motion detection. For its operation, the sensor needs no feeding or data conductors; it can be fed from a solar module, and data that have been determined are transferred by wireless technology to the distance up to 300 m. The operational frequency of the microwave motion sensor is 24.15 GHz at the range of 10 m. The evaluation of motion speed is ca. 2 ms-1 for people and 130 kmh-1 for vehicles. The modular structure of the facility enables users to select a setup optimal for the given use. The facility can be used with success for management of traffic at crossroads or as a third-generation safety crossing (see the figure below).

Sensor of railway crossing clearance

The sensor of railway crossing clearance detects an obstruction on railway tracks, when the required location is sent timely information that the crossing is not cleared. Its key task is to distinguish an obstruction in the area of interest. In principle, this obstruction could be rather small, such as a small motorcycle, a person and similar. The sensor works on a radar principle and can be arranged in two blocks. The first block comprises the microwave part of the radar, and the other block secures processing of the signal from the microwave unit, management of activities and output of data in the required form.

RFID system for fast moving objects

RFID system (reader x tag) works at the frequency of 2.45 GHz. The hardware of RFID tag and reader is identical. The distinction if the system works as a reader or a tag is done on the basis of the software used. The active RFID tag is integrated in a box 60x35x20 mm large, including a surface aerial and battery. The RFID reader is characterized with the same hardware as the RFID tag, only the surface aerial is replaced with an external whip omnidirectional aerial. RFID reader is furnished with a GSM module that transmits data of received tags in the form of text messages (SMS). To determine the state of the RFID reader, diagnostics can be used by means of SOS text messages. In this manner, all required data can be identified, e.g.: date and time, battery voltage capacity, temperature, credit, state of diagnostic counters, etc. The message can be sent automatically at the defined time, or it can be sent at request. The whole system of the RFID reader comes complete with the “Power Management”, which arranges for feeding of the reader from the lead accumulator or the network. At the same time, when the system is fed the network, the accumulator is charged as well.
